Family Works is a  class is focused on making the family unit, whatever it may look like, work!  The family unit for some kids may be mom, dad and step parents for another child it could be mom, grandma and grandpa and yet for another child it could be completely different.  Regardless of the uniqueness of the family unit, this class is focused on working through the various struggles that the family unit may be facing: divorce, step parenting, absence of a parent, grandparents raising grandchildren or balancing the rules between two different households.  Main focus of the class will be on basic parenting skills including how to do time-out correctly, how to handle temper tantrums, disrespectful language and effective steps for disciplining.  The class will address what is needed and why it is so important to maintain healthy relationships within the family regardless of the marital status or others challenges.
